Burford Capital Limited ("Burford"), the leading global finance and asset management firm focused on law, today issues the following update to its June 17, June 30, and July 1, 2025 statements in connection with proposed tax provisions relating to litigation finance included within the US Senate's draft of the budget reconciliation bill.
Based on the Senate Parliamentarian's ruling that those provisions were not eligible for inclusion in the bill, they were removed. The bill has now been adopted by the Senate without containing those provisions.
