Royal Bank of Canada (NYSE:RY) reported quarterly earnings of $2.79 per share which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $2.36 by 18.22 percent. This is a 17.23 percent increase over earnings of $2.38 per share from the same period last year. The company reported quarterly sales of $12.362 billion which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $11.590 billion by 6.66 percent. This is a 15.69 percent increase over sales of $10.685 billion the same period last year.
