Saia Reports Mixed Q3 Trends With Shipments Down But Tonnage And Weights Holding Steady

Saia, Inc. (NASDAQ:SAIA), a leading transportation provider offering national less-than-truckload (LTL), non-asset truckload, expedited and logistics services, is providing LTL shipment and tonnage data for the first two months of the third quarter. In July 2025, LTL shipments per workday declined 1.2%, LTL tonnage per workday increased 0.9% and LTL weight per shipment increased 2.1% to 1,359 pounds compared to 1,331 pounds in July 2024. In August 2025, LTL shipments per workday declined 2.2%, LTL tonnage per workday declined 2.2% and LTL weight per shipment increased 0.1% to 1,355 pounds compared to 1,354 pounds in August 2024.
