U.S. Bancorp (NYSE:USB) reported quarterly earnings of $1.22 per share which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $1.13 by 8.44 percent. This is a 18.45 percent increase over earnings of $1.03 per share from the same period last year. The company reported quarterly sales of $7.300 billion which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $7.160 billion by 1.96 percent. This is a 6.83 percent increase over sales of $6.833 billion the same period last year.
