State Street (NYSE:STT) reported quarterly earnings of $2.78 per share which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $2.61 by 6.47 percent. This is a 23.01 percent increase over earnings of $2.26 per share from the same period last year. The company reported quarterly sales of $3.545 billion which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $3.459 billion by 2.49 percent. This is a 8.78 percent increase over sales of $3.259 billion the same period last year.
