Celanese (NYSE:CE) reported quarterly earnings of $1.34 per share which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $1.22 by 9.84 percent. This is a 44.4 percent decrease over earnings of $2.41 per share from the same period last year. The company reported quarterly sales of $2.419 billion which missed the analyst consensus estimate of $2.507 billion by 3.50 percent. This is a 8.65 percent decrease over sales of $2.648 billion the same period last year.
